New Hampshire recovery support
A new start is possible — and the next step should be clear.
Phoenix Rising Initiative helps people and families affected by substance use find practical next steps, safer choices, and connection without shame.

Current priority task
Procuring and distributing fentanyl detection strips.
Phoenix Rising Initiative’s current focus is procuring fentanyl detection strips and getting them to rehab centers, needle exchanges, homeless shelters, outreach teams, and other access points so people suffering from addiction can test heroin or other drugs for fentanyl as one harm-reduction step.
Important: fentanyl test strips reduce risk, but no test can guarantee drugs are safe or fentanyl-free. If someone may be overdosing, call 911 immediately.

Phoenix Recovery Guide
Quick helper for common recovery questions
This on-site guide is a practical, chatbot-style helper for choosing a next step. It does not replace emergency care, medical advice, counseling, or legal advice.
If someone may be overdosing, is in immediate danger, or may hurt themselves or someone else, call 911 now.
I need help right now
For immediate danger call 911. For mental health or substance-use crisis support in NH, start with NH 988 / Rapid Response and 211 NH for resource navigation.
I’m helping a family member
Write down what is urgent, what town they are in, whether they are safe right now, and what support they are open to. Use the family support page or contact form for non-emergency guidance.
I want to partner or volunteer
Use the contact form and include your organization, region, services, and the best way to follow up. Partnership details are handled thoughtfully as the initiative is built.
I’m not sure where to start
Start with the Resource Navigation page. Focus on one next step: safety, crisis support, treatment/recovery options, family support, or community resources.
